Kendall & Chris at The Family Farm

Kendall & Chris at The Family Farm

I had the privilege of photographing Kendall’s twin sister’s wedding several years ago. I was happy to return to the family farm on a perfect fall night for a session on Floyd’s Fork. Legend has it that this is the oldest barn in Crestwood. To be honest, climbing onto its rickety second story, I believe the legend is true.

Elizabeth & Paul at Whitehall Gardens

Elizabeth & Paul at Whitehall Gardens

After postponing because of rain several times, I finally got the perfect evening to photograph Elizabeth and Paul's engagement session at Louisville's historic Whitehall Gardens.  I had met Elizabeth at a really fun wedding last year and was thrilled when she called about her session.  Several things made this evening memorable to me.  It was my first time meeting Paul and we hit it off right away.  So much so that I think Elizabeth was ready for us to be done talking about golf way before we were.  Elizabeth's dad brought a classic car to the shoot and then photo-bombed the couple out of nowhere.  (The photo is on my instagram... Hilarious!)  And Elizabeth set the record for the number of outfit changes.  How many were there?  I lost count.  Oh wait, I can look back on the photos.  FIVE!  :)

I love it when my clients love and affection and delight in one another exudes from them and these two were no exception.  I can't wait to see what their photographs will look like from their destination wedding in Italy.  (No, I'm not shooting it.  And yes, I'm trying really hard to be happy for whoever is!)

Meredith & Rich at Walnut Way Farm

Meredith & Rich at Walnut Way Farm

Spring is in full swing in Shelbyville, Kentucky.  I just had to post some of these images I shot the other day at Walnut Way Farm.  I got to meet Meredith when I shot her sister Lauren's fabulous downtown Louisville wedding a year and a half ago.  Meredith reminded me that it was the week that we brought home our daughter from Africa.  So much has happened in this last year and a half.  Crazy.

I enjoyed getting to know Rich.  He's a legit trainer and does some really great things with student athletes.  And yes, Meredith made his belt for him by hand.  How great is that?

Can't wait to go back to the farm in the fall for Meredith and Rich's wedding.
